My name is Reyhane Alborz. I have a Master's Degree in Personality Psychology and I have been working directly with children as an educator for six years.

As a teacher, what has occupied my mind from day one is the safety of students in cyberspace. Every teacher has a duty to teach self-protection and teach their students how to use technology.

 

In this presentation, I will try to briefly discuss some of the dangers that may exist for students in this cyberspace and explore ways to deal with it.

Hello everyone! My name is Anju Bala. I have Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science Engineering, India and now I am studying Instructional Technology for Educators to explore more about technology.

This is my final semester and during NYIT journey, I have learnt a lot of things which was totally new for me and made my learning more exciting and enjoyable.

I am glad to share my “E-learning Module” as my presentation topic because this was the activity I am most interested in. Before this activity, I did not know that we can do much more than a presentation in the Powerpoint. So I choose this fun-learning module to share with the audience.

Hello everybody, my name is Qiran Chen. I came from Chongqing, China, and as a typical Chinese student, I survived hundreds of exams.

 

It was both painful and joyful but, I wanted to look at education from another perspective and start a brand new adventure. That is why I choose to study at the New York Institute of Technology and become a member of the M.S.I.T family.

 

I would like to share some learning experiences with you through the symposium.

Hi everyone! My name is Kamalpreet Kaur Kular. I hold a Bachelor in Medical Sciences and a Masters in Chemistry. I'm passionate about studies, and I  decided to pursue further study abroad to broaden my horizon from a global perspective. 

During my entire journey in MS IT, I saw myself growing both personally and professionally. I learned many skills that will help me in my future endeavours.

 

In the presentation, I would like to share my views on Digital Citizenship. It enables the responsible usage of technology and helps students understand digital literacy and ensures online safety.

My name is Jignasha Vadi and that I have a Degree in Physical Therapy. I have been operating directly with physical therapy students as a tutor for seven years.

During my courses in the MSIT program, I learned several things and ways that to use technology properly. However as a lecturer, what has occupied my mind from day one is that the safety of scholars in Internet. Each teacher includes a duty to show self-defence and teach their students the way to use technology.

 

During this presentation, I will discuss a number of the risks that will exist for college students and explore ways that address it.

Hello I'm Geiza Bianchi de Lellis.  I hold a Masters in Biology from the Universidade Federal Goiás and a MBA in Environmental management & auditing at IPOG.

I'm an experienced Science teacher at middle schools, post-secondary, and environmental educator, and have worked as Environmental Analyst at the Environmental agency both in Brazil.

 

My teaching assistant experience in the university, NYIT, was a  relevant opportunity to my professional improvement as an instructional technologist. This allowed me to apply my understanding acquired in the Multimedia course and create tutorial videos to guide students in their multimedia projects.

My name is Baljinder Kaur Sandhu. I am from India and possess a Masters in Chemistry and Bachelors in Education.

 

My experience at NYIT has been a wonderful one as I learned a lot during my course. Most importantly, I learned about teaching students through technology. Now I am very comfortable at using technology. These years at NYIT had made me completely different person.

I am going on present on "Interactive E module" that I prepared using PowerPoint application in multimedia authoring. If this technology is used in class, students can learn at their own pace and they are completely involved in their learning.

My experience at the New York Institute of Technology is fantabulous and it contributed a lot to my holistic development, and to polished my personality with various skills. 

During this program I have learnt how I can improve my teaching skills using modern technology in the classroom. In this presentation, I am going to present the e-learning module that I have created in the Multimedia Authoring course.

Previously, I was uncomfortable using technology, but now I have become somewhat perfect at using technology.

In this Symposium I will present the E-learning module that I prepared in the Multimedia Authoring course.

I am Babaljeet Kaur from India (Punjab). I have a Master's in Physics from India and was a secondary school physics teacher and for two years. 

 

I loved to use new technological tools and methods in teaching. Still, I realized that I should take more knowledge about the technology and its various tools and resources.

 

Here, I would like to share my learning about a hardware (merge-cube) that I used for my workshop.

My name is Jaspreet Kaur and I worked as a math teacher for 2 years.

 

In opinion, teaching and learning occurs when the students are engaged and feel connected. Before preparing for the lectures, there is need to prepare for student's engagement.

 

In this program I learnt many strategies to integrate technology in the classroom that can make the teaching- learning process interesting and engaging. I would like to share my knowledge/experiences of classroom engagement through this symposium.

My name is Sweety. I am an educator, curriculum developer, technology instructor, and computer trainer. 

My journey to date has been full of opportunities as well as challenges. I learned many new things during this course. I continuously worked on and improved many of the skills I already had. 

I would like to share my best experience to date with you all. It is about creating a workshop for my learners and it includes a tool known as Merge Cube which ensures the inclusion of 3D technology in the classroom.

I wanted to learn about innovatives in education, like how we can implement technology in the classroom, so I decided to pursue further study abroad at NYIT.

 

During my entire journey in MS IT, I learned many skills that will help me in my future teaching field. In the presentation, I would like to present my E-MODULE. It is a PowerPoint presentation with audio and visuals, it is the exact use of technology for diverse learners, and it helps students learn at their own pace.

In the symposium I will present my E- learning Module which I did in my multimedia course using powerpoint. In this I will explain how different technology tools can be used effective in classroom and how helpful it can turn out to be.

I am Harsharan from India. I have a Bachelor of Science, Master of Science and a Bachelor of Education.

 

I have learned a lot of new technological applications. My topic for the symposium is the E-learning module.

My name is Twinkle Mehra and I am from Chandigarh, India. I a Bachelors of Science and Masters in Applied Chemistry - Pharmaceuticals.  I also have a Bachelors of Education and a teaching background.

During this program I have learned various technological applications and for the symposium, I will present the e-learning module which I did in my multimedia and authoring course using PowerPoint.

 

In this, I will share how to make an interactive e-learning module and how it can turn out very effective in the classroom for learners.

The Master's in Instructional Technology proved a wonderful experience for me, as I achieved 21st Century skills: creativity, critical thinking, imagination, and problem-solving in this course. I also learned to use many new technologies that I can use in my classroom to engage students and improve their learning.

My name is Pooja Rani and I hold a Masters in Business Administration.

 

It's almost the end of this course and I have learned a lot so far. Though this course is not related to my prior field of education, it was interesting and packed with 21st century knowledge. I think this program is important to get awareness about the technological uses, advantages and drawbacks. 

 

For me, the most interesting part of this course was Multimedia Authoring so I chose the topic of the E- learning module.

Hello everyone! My name is Veerpal Kaur. I am from India and a teacher as well as a learner. I used to teach in Army Public School in India.

 

I wanted to explore more in educational technology then I decided to study at NYIT.


I have learned various things and ways to use education technology in the classroom. Ms.IT made me so comfortable in using the technological tool for education.

 

In the presentation, I would like to talk about a technical device that I believe is impactful in teaching and learning. I will present Plickers which I have used in a workshop.
